Aurora has named 4 finalists for the place of the town’s fireplace chief and the group will probably be out there to fulfill with the general public this week.
The finalists, which resulted from a nationwide search, are Richard Davis, assistant chief of the Austin (Texas) Fireplace Division; Alec Oughton, fire chief of the Henrico County, Virginia, Division of Fireplace; Allen Robnett, interim fireplace chief of Aurora Fire Rescue; and Froilan “Pepper” Valdez, fireplace chief of the Billings, Montana, Fireplace Division.
The 4 are scheduled for a public assembly from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday within the foyer of the Aurora Municipal Heart, 15151 E. Alameda Pkwy., according to a news release. Additionally on Thursday, as a part of the method, finalists will tour fireplace rescue services and meet with civilian and sworn members of the division. On Friday they’ll meet individually with metropolis council members, the mayor, metropolis division administrators, neighborhood panel members and an govt crew.
Thirty-six candidates utilized for the place, in line with metropolis officers. Robnett, an Aurora native and AFR firefighter for 33 years, is serving as interim chief pending the hiring course of final result.
