Mexico Metropolis:
Nineteen suspected gang members and 10 army personnel died throughout occasions surrounding the arrest of Mexican drug cartel chief Ovidio Guzman within the northern state of Sinaloa, Protection Minister Luis Cresencio Sandoval stated on Friday.
Mexican safety forces on Thursday captured Guzman, a son of jailed kingpin Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman, triggering a wave of violence throughout Sinaloa.
Twenty-one different individuals have been arrested throughout the operations, Mr Sandoval advised an everyday information convention. He stated there have been no experiences of any civilian deaths.
The airport in Sinaloa’s capital, Culiacan, the middle of the violence, remained closed on Friday, authorities stated.
Ovidio is now being held in a most safety federal jail, based on the federal government.
